SPRINKLE SOME SELF-CARE INTO YOUR HOLIDAY PLANNING THIS YEAR.
Carving out this time for yourself is always important but in the mix of the holiday rush, the family time + excitement, its importance shines through even brighter.
TODAY ON THE #GEEEDIT, WE'RE SHARING HOW WE'RE GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THE SMALL MOMENTS THAT BOOST OUR SELF-CARE AND WELLNESS THAT WON'T COST A SINGLE THING.
Get moving!
The best way to boost your self-care is to move your body. Whether you're heading out on a walk around the block, going for a run, or even to your favorite workout class, anyway to get yourself moving is always a great idea.
The beauty of going on a walk is that it's so simple and so effective. No matter where you are in your fitness and health journey, going for a walk will always make a positive impact in your day and life, especially around the holidays.
There are so many benefits to walking, but I have to say the mood-boosting effects are beyond incredible.

Spike your water!
Another great way to boost your self-care is by upping your water intake. Not only are there countless beauty benefits but it aids digestion as well. To make your water feel more luxurious and spa-like, we love adding lemon and lime slices as well as a few sprigs of mint and even cucumber. The combo is so calming!
I love creating new combos to add to my water. Another favorite is grapefruit slices and rosemary sprigs. It feels so fresh + seasonal!

Try hot + cold shower therapy!
Like a cold plunge but in your own bathroom! Experience the benefits of hot and cold therapy by experimenting with the temperature of your shower. We recommend starting with a lukewarm temperature and gradually making it colder. Practice deep belly breathing and try to stick with it for about 1-2 minutes. Then gradually adjust the water back to a comfortable temperature. Cycle through a few times, remembering to breathe deep and drink lots of water after. Hot and cold water therapy is proven to reduce inflammation, improve circulation and can help aid sleep.

Listen NowStart organizing + de-cluttering:
Organizing is a great self-care practice that will keep you feeling present but also feeling productive. Decluttering your bathroom cabinet, kitchen, or sorting through clothes for donation.
If you're feeling overwhelmed at this time of year, try to find a good deed to do. It could be donating your time to those in need or less fortunate, or simply giving a compliment, reaching out to someone or helping someone with something. Giving out good energy, care and love is important and there can never be too much.
