Celene's Fall 5

Celene's Fall 5

This fall, I’m feeling inspired by so much of what we’re creating

and enjoying seeing months of ideas and planning come to life. Our new Toronto studio at The James has been a big part of that. I love being on-site, seeing the design come together, fine-tuning the details, and imagining our clients making it part of their everyday lives. That energy is carrying into my everyday life, too: a richer palette in my wardrobe, a new layer in my skincare routine, and thoughtful additions to my home. With so much happening, I’m also making time for the things that ground me: cooking, having people over, and creating a space where I feel calm and inspired. Here are my fall five.

1. A new home at The James

After months of design and planning, our new Toronto studio is coming to life. Much of my creative focus has been on it this season - with the most incredibly talented team - considering every finish, proportion, and detail, then seeing how it all comes together. There’s something especially exciting about watching a vision take shape and imagining how people will experience it. Being on-site is my favorite part - seeing the materials, the light, and all the little decisions come together. I can already imagine our clients in the space, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone. We're opening on Tuesday October 13th at 8 Price Street (just a few blocks north of our original Roxborough St. W. location, right beside Teroni).

2. My glow, in good company

I’m so happy Prime Skin is back! It’s such a signature part of Gee Beauty, and there’s something really special about seeing clients reunited with a product they love - and introducing it to people discovering it for the first time. Alongside that excitement, I’ve been using Gee Skin ahead of its launch, and my skin is in love. The products are so easy to use, and really act as the core of a great routine. We're already working on the next drop of products after our launch next month, and all I can say is wow - the perfect balance of refining the skin without stripping it. Great for more sensitive or reactive skin too. After being so involved in bringing this collection to life, using it every day feels especially meaningful. My skin looks fresh and luminous, and Prime Skin adds that finishing touch I’ve always loved. I can’t wait for everyone to experience the two together.

3. A little more play in my wardrobe

Deep reds, burgundy, animal print—I’m having more fun getting dressed this season. I’m playing with proportions and rotating a capsule edit of pieces that work together, so there’s room to experiment while staying comfortable. A familiar silhouette in a richer color can change the whole mood.

4. What I eat on repeat

Soup has become a daily grounding ritual, even sipping on bone broth before my morning tea to help balance my hormones. I love to make a big soup on Sunday afternoons so that I know there is something simple and nourishing for me to reach for throughout the week. This fall and winter, I’m making room for more recipes and a few new favorites like my chicken soup (actually my mother's I have adopted), my red lentil and tomato soup, and carrot ginger too.

5. The home edit

My seasonal updates tend to extend beyond my wardrobe. Right now, I’m looking at velvet pillows for the couch in rich tones (inspired by The Webster in Miami), interesting and unique serving pieces, and a few accessories to change the feel of a room. I love the process of moving things around, mixing textures, and finding a new piece that works with what I already own. With 6 At Home coming together in our 6 Roxborough St. W. location (6 By Gee Beauty is moving with us to The James), I’m getting a very good preview of what’s next - and mentally shopping as we place orders. Michelle has the most incredible eye and edit (as seen below), and there’s plenty I can’t wait to bring home and put to use, especially when I’m hosting. A space that feels calm, creative and organized helps me think clearly, and the right details keep it inspiring.
