What We've Learned From Our Mum

Happy Mother's Day!

There's no better way to celebrate Miriam Gee, than share everything we've learned from her.

A WOMAN OF STRENGTH, BRILLIANCE, KINDNESS AND SO MUCH MORE, MIRIAM IS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND LIFE EXPERIENCE AND WE'VE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO LEARN FROM HER ALONG THE WAY.

Natalie Gee:

One of the many lessons I've learned is to never leave home without your lipstick on! For my sisters and I, watching our mum - her beauty rituals, seeing the joy she had in celebrating her routines are memories we will forever cherish, and many of them we still enjoy together today!

When it comes to lipstick, wearing it, applying it, having it with you all meant that you were ready. You've prepared for the moment, you are intentional about your look, and you own who you are.

Our Go-To Lipsticks

Taking the time to care for yourself, both inside and out, is a form of self-respect, and shows others that you respect them and their time as well.” - Natalie Gee
Celene Gee:

There are so many significant lessons I’ve learned from my mother - from the power of consistency to importance of hard work, how to cook and entertain, create a warm home environment, and how to treat others with kindness. I find lately I've been reflecting on my childhood and the values and practices instilled in me by my parents - and how they've shaped me into the adult I am today.

I'm often turning to my own inner compass of right and wrong, how to approach new experiences and situations as a strong and confident woman - feeling like while I always want to grow and broaden my awareness and understanding, I have a strong and steady foundation, securing me in where I am at. My mother's creative influence and guidance is intrinsically linked.

To this day when I have an idea I want to bring to life, I create a story-board, a mood, some inspiration and it allows my ideas to flourish. This is definitely because of mother’s creative influence.” - Celene Gee
Steph Gee:

The list goes on of what I learn from our mum everyday, from the power of unconditional love, to the value of respect for yourself and for others. What I always come back to, and lean on more than ever, is how we were raised to understand time is a gift and the importance of patience. In times of my life where I want to move too quickly or want results at the snap of my fingers, I come back our mother's advice and it instantly grounds me.

Great things take time, great things take belief and as we see in our mother everyday, you can do anything you want so long as you put your all into it.” - Steph Gee
From our family to yours, Happy Mother's Day!
xx Natalie, Celene + Steph
