Preparing for new season can feel overwhelming!

Sometimes we think “I have to buy everything NEW!” just to achieve that freshly updated feeling, when often it’s just time to re-organize.

Before you make any major moves – wait! Here are my tips for transiting with ease and style, and most importantly staying true to you!

#1: Stay With Your Tried And Trues

No matter what or when, having pieces in your wardrobe (both fashion and beauty) that really help define your look, should always stay. So for me, what never changes are pieces like Prime Skin (my weekday makeup must-have) and Mineral Sheer Tint (my weekend face tint), and classic staples like a black blazer and jeans which I do invest in since I wear them over and over. Then comes the fun change-up: I’ll add a brighter shoe from Zara lets say (keeping budget-friendly), and I’ll experiment with a brighter blush or lipstick.

#2: Welcome In A New Season

A new season is always the perfect time to organize your closets and beauty drawers and see what to keep and what to toss. Here’s where I get very decisive. If I haven’t worn or used it all season and it’s not an investment piece?! Donate. I need to feel a sense of calm when I get dressed and apply my makeup. Too many options is distracting and I believe having a uniform is a huge key to success in the mornings.

#3: Organize With Your Eyes First

When it comes to beauty, I like to take a look at how I’m organizing my makeup and skincare. Think about how your skincare and makeup is displayed for you. Is it easy to grab? Does it look enticing? A new season is the perfect time to clean and organize your cabinets. I even wipe down my bottles and compacts so they look totally new. I buy these containers from Amazon and store my brushes upright like this. with this chic vessel.

#4: Focus Inwards

So we organize the outside of ourselves but what about the inner work?! Organizing myself for a new season is perhaps the best time to evaluate how you live. For me, Spring 2022 is less about clothes (although I love to shop), and more about inner strength. I’m committed, well recommitting myself to 3-4x weekly Rachel Fitness, and walking daily. I’m working with a functional nutritionist Shannon, and I’m cooking most meals at home. I find time within my days to make sure I’m filling my cup, like my early morning workouts in the AM (hello early morning wake-ups!)
